Mohanlal’s ‘Pulimurugan’ is set to be released for Vishu. The movie is directed by Vysakh and scripted by Udaykrishna.
‘Pulimurugan’ is the story of Murugan and how he becomes Pulimurugan. Mohanlal does a character who is highly adventurous with strong intelligence and physical strength.
Ace action choreographer Peter Hein is the stunt choreographer of ‘Pulimurugan’. The film will have many adventurous action scenes between Mohanlal and the tigers in the Hanoi forest in Vietnam.
South Indian actress Kamalinee Mukherjee does the lead female role opposite Mohanlal.
The film is produced by Tomichen Mulakupadam in the banner of Mulakupadam Films.
The shoot for the new Mohanlal movie ‘Pulimurugan’ will kick start by this May. The movie directed by Vysakh has gone for a script revision as the original budget planned was not found to be feasible for the movie’s prospects.
Sibi K Thomas and Udhay Krishna are the scriptwriters of the movie who has discussions with Tomichan Mulakupadam, the producer to rehash the movie story lines.
The movie which will also feature some prominent stars of the industry will now be on sets by May.
Meanwhile, Mohanlal’s new release ‘Ennum Eppozhum’ will be on screens by the 27th of this month.
Vysakh’s upcoming multi-starrer movie ‘Cousins’ will start its shoot from August. The film casts Kunchacko Boban, Indrajith, Joju, and Suraj Venjarammoodu as cousins.
The incidents that occur in the course of a journey undertaken by the four cousins are humorously plotted in ‘Cousins’. Sethu of Sethu-Sachi duo scripts the movie.
Vedika and Nisha Aggarwal are paired with Kunchacko Boban and Indrajith respectively. Nedumudi Venu, Kalabhavan Shajon, and Pradeep Ravath are the other main actors in this movie.
Vinod Illambally will wield the camera for the movie. Bangalore, Pollachi, Kodaikanal, Athirappally, and Ernakulam are the man shooting locations.
Vysakh’s ‘Cousins’, starring Kunchacko Boban and Indrajith in the lead roles, is set for Christmas release. This multi-star movie will soon go on floors.
Suraj Venjarammoodu and Joju George are the other cousins of Kunchacko Boban and Indrajith. Vedika and Bhavana are paired with Kunchacko Boban and Indrajith respectively. Nedumudi Venu, Kalabhavan Shajon, Telugu actor Pradeep Ravuthar are the other main actors.
The problems faced by the four cousins during a journey forms the plot of the movie. Written by Sethu, the movie starts as a comedy film and ends as a thriller. It is reported that there are twenty main actors in this movie. Bangalore and Pollachi are the main locations.

The makers confirmed that ‘Pulimurukan’ will be a mass entertainer. This is for the first time Mohanlal joins Vysakh. Also the script writers Udaykrishna and Siby K Thomas are penning for Mohanlal for the first time. Earlier Mohanlal has acted either in their multi-starrer films or in cameo role.
Vysakh has to complete another project ‘Cousins’ with Kunchacko Boban, Indrajith, Suraj Venjarammoodu, and Joju George in the lead roles before starting with ‘Pulimurukan’.
Two years ago, young director Vysakh surprised everybody with ‘Pokkiri Raja’, a movie made in a budget of 5 crore, gathering 17 crores from the Kerala market to emerge as the biggest hit of the year. The director who made a casting coup by uniting Prithviraj with Megastar Mammootty for this film is on the lines of a similar surprise with his new project…Yes, the promising young director is going to call the shots for his new film with Superstar Mohanlal in the lead. The surprises don’t end here as Vysakh will also bring in Megastar Mammootty’s son Dulqar Salman to play the second hero in this movie to be written by Sibi K Thomas- Udhay Krishna.
The trade observes that the union of Mohanlal with the other superstar’s son will itself bring in much curiosity that will end up in favour of the movie. Vysakh and the scriptwriters are planning to for a bigger canvas for this film which will be on sets only by the last months of 2012.
Vysakh who is currently in the preproduction works of his ‘Mallusingh’ grabbed news headlines yesterday when he was not allowed for a location hunt by some organisations in Tamil Nadu, over the Mullaiperiyar row, The director and his crew who was at Pollachy to look for some suitable location’s was forced to return as activists in large numbers surrounded the hotel on which they were staying.
