‘Baahubali’ in 100 crore club?

Rajamouli’s ‘Baahuballi’ has joined the 100 crore club within two days of its release which is a record for an Indian film.

So far many Indian films have collected 100 and the list includes quite many Bollywood films like ‘PK’, ‘Three Idiots’, ‘Chennai Express’, ‘Ra One’, ‘Kick’, ‘Dabaang’, ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ etc. The list also includes some south Indian films ‘Enthiran’, Viswaroopam’ and ‘Kaththi’. Now ‘Baahubali’ comes as a proud entrant that too in just two days of its theatrical release, a record which no other Indian film has achieved.

As reported earlier, ‘Baahubali’ which released in 15 languages in 4000 screens across the world had garnered Rs.60 crores collection on the first day of its release and on the second day it has collected Rs.55 crores putting the total to a whopping Rs.115 crores. Out of this the Indian theatrical share is Rs.90.

‘Baahubali’ stars Prabhas, Rana Daggupathi, Anushka, Tamannah, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, Nasser and many others. The film was made as a Tamil-Telugu bilingual.

Superstar Mahesh Babu, Tamanna in Aagadu

Tamanna-in-AagaduSuperstar Mahesh Babu will pair up with Tamannah in the film Aagadu to be directed by Srinu Vytla.

To be produced by Ram Achanta, Gopichand Achanta and Anil Sunkara on 14 Reels Entertainment banner, the team of Aagadu is hoping to repeat the magic of Dookudu. Aagadu will also have ample entertainment, as per the sources from the inside circles. Tamanna is roped in as the leading lady of the film. Shruti Haasan, Tamanna were considered and the latter seem to have bagged the project.

The shooting schedules of the film will commence in November. Thaman is the music director of the film and Aagadu is his 50th film. Anil Ravipudi is the dialogue writer.

Ajith and Tamannah starring Veeram firstlook on Aug 15


Ajith and Tamannah starring Siruthai Siva’s directorial is recently been titled as Veeram and makers are planning to release the firstlook posters of Ajith in Veeram on 15th of Aug, on the occasion of Independence Day.

Directed by Siruthai Siva, Veeram is an action drama that also casts Vidharth, Santhanam, Pradeep Rawat, Ramesh Khanna, Manochitra and Abhinaya in key roles. Devi Sri Prasad has been roped in to compose the music for the film under Vijaya Productions.

Veeram is Ajith’s 54th film that will hit the screens after Vishnuvardhan’s Arrambam does. However, makers have not finalized anything on it.

Tamannah With Virat Kohli

It’s a long time buzz and it has now become a reality at last. Tamannah and cricketer Virat Kohli have shot for a television commercial, batting for a mobile phone brand.

The ad was shot by leading Tollywood director Trivikram Srinivas, who had earlier directed celebrities such as Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Ramcharan for television commercials.

“The commercial was shot in Mumbai. Along with visuals, photos were also taken and they will be used for print ads. The chemistry between Virat and Tamannah was good,” sources said.

Tamannah, after rocking Kollywood and Tollywood, is all set try her luck in Bollywood. She is currently busy with the remake of ‘Himmatwala’, in which she has played the role performed by Sridevi in the original.

Ram Charan’s Racha has stunning action scenes

Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s Racha is said to have stunning action and stunt scenes that would be one of the highlights of the film. Allan Amin, who earlier choreographed action scenes in Dhoom, Race et al is zeroed in as action choreographer for Racha.

Recently, a race scene against a train on Charan and the negative lead Ajmal of Rangam fame has been shot which has reportedly shaped well. The action episodes of Racha were shot in Goa and Bangkok so far. Ajmal have bagged a role in the film and the antagonist is said to be working hard to make his mark with this debut film in Tollywood.

Tamannah is the heroine in the film. Sampath Nandi is directing it while NV Prasad and Paras Jain are producing the film on Mega Super Good Films banner. Mani Sharma is the music director.

Gopichand to romance Tamannah

Kollywood director Boopathy Pandian will soon direct a new film with Gopichand in the lead. Though Boopathy’s initial choice was Vikram so as to make it as bilingually in Tamil and Telugu, the versatile actor failed to allocate his call-sheets with his busy schedules of a stream of new films in Tamil.

Finally, the director has narrated the same script to Gopichand and the actor who was excited with Bhoopathy Pandian’s narration has immediately given his nod for the film. Sources are at buzz that Tamannah is playing the leading lady in the film. However, an official announcement along with the other details of the cast and crew of the film are expected shortly.

Tamannah praising Tollywood young heroes

Fair beauty Tamannah Bhatia is all praise for the current Tollywood heroes for their dancing capabilities. The actress who made a great comeback in TFI with 100% Love is currently pairing up with Jr.NTR in Oosaravelli, Ram in Endhukante Premanta and Ram Charan in Racha.

“Tollywood has many good dancers compared to other film industries in South. I’m finding it difficult to match the steps of these heroes.” Tamannah feels she earned good experience while shaking her leg with the Stylish Star Allu Arjun in Badrinath.

“Jr NTR, Ram Charan and Ram follow their own unique style of dancing and they excel in it,” informs Tamannah. Sources inform her Endhukante Premanta with Ran has some amazing dance moves choreographed in a distinct style.

Ram Charan’s Racha progressing in Aluminum factory

Ram Charan’s Racha is currently filming its fresh schedule in Aluminum factory in Hyderabad. A market set has been erected for the shoot in Aluminum factory and major part of the film will be shot in this set.

As Ram Charan and the unit members informed earlier, Racha is an out and out commercial entertainer with ample dosage of mass elements. Tamannah is playing Ram Charan’s ladylove in Racha, being directed by Sampath Nandi on Mega Supergood films banner. RB Choudary is presenting the film.

The entire shooting of Racha will be completed in four months and the movie is likely to hit the silver-screens in the month of  October.
