After many speculations, VTV director Gautham Menon has finally confirmed actress Trisha’s presence in his upcoming Thala 55.
Now the actress herself reasserted the reports, saying: “Back with my favourite people” in her Social networking page.
Presently, Ajith and Anushka are shooting for AM Ratnam’s Sri Sathya Sai Movies producing Thala 55 in Malaysia. Arun Vijay, Vivek, Santhanam and others are part of untitled Ajith-Gautham Menon film.
Harris Jayaraj will compose music for untitled Ajith starrer, Dan Macarthur is handling the camera and editing will be by Anthony .
Karthi-starrer Tamil comedy “All in All Azhaguraja”, which released worldwide Nov 2, has been trimmed by 25 minutes following a poor response from audiences and critics alike.
“It was a unanimous decision by the makers of the film,” a source from the film’s unit said.
“The initial response was not in the favour of the film and we came to learn that its length was the biggest concerns for audiences. Since we can’t make changes to the film, we decided to trim it by 25 minutes.
“The new version started playing on all digital screens since Sunday (Nov 3) evening. It will also be added to more screens today (Monday) across the country and overseas,” the source added.
One song and a few scenes have been excluded from the film, which had an original run of two-hours-and-fifty-four minutes.
Also starring Kajal Agarwal, Radhika Apte and Santhanam in important roles, the film is directed by Rajesh M.
Karthi has once again paired up with Kajal Agarwal in his upcoming film titled All in All Azhaguraja and the makers have now reported that the movie is in final stage of shooting.
Santhanam is playing comic role in ‘All in All Azhaguraja’ being directed by M. Rajesh. KE Gnanvelraja is producing this comedy caper under Studio Greens banner that also casts Prabhu and Saranya Ponvannan in vital roles.
Karthi’s All in All Azhaguraja has music by SS Thaman, camera cranked by Balasubramaniem and Sakthi Saravanan and editing by Vivek Harshan among the technical crew. Makers are soon expected to come up with audio and movie release dates.
Ajith and Tamannah starring Siruthai Siva’s directorial is recently been titled as Veeram and makers are planning to release the firstlook posters of Ajith in Veeram on 15th of Aug, on the occasion of Independence Day.
Directed by Siruthai Siva, Veeram is an action drama that also casts Vidharth, Santhanam, Pradeep Rawat, Ramesh Khanna, Manochitra and Abhinaya in key roles. Devi Sri Prasad has been roped in to compose the music for the film under Vijaya Productions.
Veeram is Ajith’s 54th film that will hit the screens after Vishnuvardhan’s Arrambam does. However, makers have not finalized anything on it.
Arya’s Settai audio launch is planned to be held on January 30 on grand scale. Settai, the remake of Hindi film Delhi Belly is taking shape in the hands of director Kannan while UTV Motion Pictures is producing the film. Thaman is composing the musical scores for the film.
Dhananjayan informed the news on twitter, “We will be screening 3 songs and a new trailer during the audio launch event on 30th January. Plus an entertainment event is being planned.
“Just seen the final edited song of Nee Thaandi Osathi Ponna picturised on Premgi and it rocks,” he further tweeted. Settai casts Arya, Santhanam, Premji, Hansika and Anjali in the lead roles.
Southern actor Kiccha Sudeep, known for his work with Ram Gopal Varma in Hindi films such as “Rann” and “Rakht Charitra”, is happy to collaborate with the filmmaker again.
“Had a meeting with RGV and I’m happy the bilingual project is on. It may start around April. You’ll see the RGV you once saw in ‘Shiva’ (Telugu),” tweeted Sudeep.
This untitled project will be helmed by Varma, who is currently busy wrapping work on his upcoming crime-drama “Attacks of 26/11″, based on the 2008 Mumbai terror strike.
Having received nationwide popularity and recognition for his performance in S.S Rajamouli’s “Makkhi”, Sudeep will be next seen in the Kannada film “Varadanayaka”, releasing Jan 18.
He will also be seen in the upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual comedy-thriller “Action”.
Arya, Hansika, Anjali, Santhanam starrer Settai which was earlier supposed to hit the screens for Pongal will now hit the screens only in April 2013 for summer.
Dhananjayan of UTV Motion Pictures tweeted, “Entire Settai team is working backwards now to ensure a very good release in 90 days.” As informed earlier, the film is the remake of Bollywood hit Delhi Belly and the director Kannan is making good changes to the script to suit Tamil nativity.
Settai will be a laughter riot and a full-fledged entertainer. Thaman is the music director of the film and the audio will be launched shortly.
Karthi’s Alex Pandian that was earlier announced for a release on January 12 for Pongal has been now preponed to January 11, and Studio Green production has decided to release the film on a grand scale in good number of theatres on January 11.
Alex Pandian is releasing in more than 450 screens which is a good number and with a good festive holiday season in the coming week, the film will have all the advantage of bagging whopping openings. The promotions are on full swing and the prepone release date will help the buyers.
The mass action entertainer directed by Suraj has Karthi, Anushka, Santhanam, Saranya Mohan in main roles
