Namitha’s next with Laljose

After her playful portrayal of a radio jockey in Vysakh’s ‘Sound Thoma’, actress Namitha Pramod is very happy that the movie is already a hit running in packed houses. And even before her celebrating her big hit as heroine, she has already signed her next film-‘Pullipulikalum Aattinkuttiyum’ with none other than the big  director of Mollywood- Lal Jose. The movie will have Kunchacko Boban coming up in the lead opposite Namitha.

Namitha considers herself lucky to have done a variety of roles in her few films films. She debuted  played an ailing daughter of a Superstar actor  in Rajesh Pillai’s ‘Traffic’ which became one of the big hits of the year. It was soon followed by a lead role in Sathyan Anthikkad film ‘ Puthiya theerangal’. Namitha played a fisherwoman in the film for which she learned swimming and rowing. And in her third “Sound Thoma’, she had a complete image makeover turning up in glamorous, glittery costumes in a few songs and dancing to fast numbers of the movie. With renowned directors and actors, Namitha is slowly making a big name in Mollywood.

‘Puthiya Theerangal’ to release on September 27

Sathyan Anthikkad, who is busy shooting his new film, that has been titled ‘Puthiya Theerangal’, would be releasing the film next month. The film would grace the screens on the 27th of September.

‘Puthiya Theerangal’ stars Nedumudi Venu in the lead role along with Namitha Pramod. Nivin Pauly would also be seen in a key role. The film has been scripted by Benny P Nayarambalam.

‘Puthiya Theerangal’ has been set against the backdrop of the sea, and has been caught on camera by Venu.

Oru Kariyam Parayanundu

The film has sea as the backdrop and stars Nivin Pauly and new girl Namita Pramod in the lead, along with Sathyan regulars like Nedumudi Venu, Innocent, KPAC Lalitha and others.

The shooting of the film was conducted in coastal Arthunkal. It is Sathyan’s first film to be shot with sea and fisher folks as the backdrop. The film story and screenplay is by Benny Nayarambalam and is produced by Anto Joseph under Ann Media banner.

Sathyan Anthikad said: “It is not done deliberately but by now it has become some kind of a custom for me to name the film only after it is complete and poster has to be designed. I always search for that perfect title and it has happened this time as well.”

Sathyan’s Oru Kariyam Parayanundu will release in the last week of September.
