Andrea Jeremiah and Nyla Usha are the two heroines in the upcoming Mammootty movie ‘Fireman’. ‘Fireman’ is an action thriller directed by Deepu Karunakaran.
Nyla Usha was Mammootty’s heroine in ‘Kunjananthante Kada’ and ‘Gangster’. But in ‘Fireman’ she is not paired opposite Mammootty. Nyla plays a prominent role in this move as a police officer.
Andrea who plays another prominent role is also not the heroine of Mammootty. Mammootty plays a fireman in this film which narrates the thrilling story of a rescue operation.
The shooting of ‘Fireman’ will start in Palaghat after the completion of the first schedule shoot of Mammootty-Salim Ahmed team’s movie ‘Pathemaari’.
Alphonse Putharen who directed Neram was supposed to be part of Mammootty’s upcoming movie The Gangster. The film is directed by Aashiq Abu. The director-cum-editor was supposed be joining the team as its editor. However, now it is said that Alphonse Putharen has opted out of the movie due to date issues. The Gangster will have Mammootyas a don along with Fahadh Faasil and Sekhar Menon.
Alphonse is currently busy with the preproduction of the Hindi remake of Malayalam movie Shutter.
Now, if this true, it is just sensational.
Some reports in Kerala suggest that Ilayathalapathy Vijay could be part of director Aashiq Abu’s Gangster, in which Mammootty plays the hero. Gangster will have Mammootty as a Kasaragode based don.
Vijay has been pencilled in to be part of a song in the film, but the news has no confirmation as yet. The actor has a huge fan following in Kerala and there were amazing numbers to welcome the Tamil superstar, whenever he came to the state. His films also receive whopping initials in Kerala.
In fact, Dhanush was part of Mammootty’ Kammath & Kammath early this year, which was a avarage at the box-office. Now whether Vijay will dance in a film with Mammootty remains a tricky question. As he is teamed up with Mammootty’s arch rival Mohanlal in the forthcoming Jilla, releasing for Pongal.
The buzz is that Aashiq Abu has spinned a yarn to make his Gangster saleable. It does not make any sense for Vijay to make a song appearance in a Malayalam film, when his straight Tamil films are doing good business in Kerala.
Meanwhile, there is also news that Fahadh Faasil, who was heard to be part of the Gangster team, has opted out of the project.
Director Aashiq Abu is all set to start shooting the much-awaited venture Gangster very soon. The film will be scripted by Ahmed Siddique and Abhilash S Kumar.
Now there could be a surprise as well. Our sources have conveyed that Alphonse Putharen, the director of Neram is all set to edit the film!
Also, a different source tells that Mammootty will be playing a don, hailing from Kasaragode. So after Thiruvananthapuram accent in Rajamanikyam, Thrissur accent in Pranchiyettan and the saint and Kannur slang in Kunjananthante Kada, this could be another accent that could fetch Mammootty a much needed hit.
Aashiq Abu had announced the film after Salt N’ Pepper but it got delayed. Now the director has completed the shooting of his latest venture, Idukki Gold.
Aashiq Abu who is spearheading the trend of new generation movies in Mollywood is all set to start his pending movie ‘Gangster’ soon after the completion of his project on production ‘Da Thadiya’. With Mammootty as the hero, Aashiq had been fine tuning the scripts of ‘Gangster’ for two years to make it a different underworld movie. Aashiq is planning to position it as one of the very different don movie ever to have witnessed in Mollywood.
Meanwhile, the pre production works of his ‘Da Thadiya’ is gaining steam. The movie which will have relatively fresh faces of DJ Shekhar and Sreenath Bhasi as the heroes, will tell a plot about the lifestyles of fat and obese people of the state. Aashiq will present a funny song with the lyrics Lokam Undayanu Bhai, Buddhy mandayilaanu bhai,…… NJaaninganeyaanu bhai, athilenthaanu bhai (The world is a round,brother….. Brain is in the head, brother………… I am just like this, brother…….. What is the problem in it, brother?) Which will be the central theme of the movie. Aashiq Abu is planning to start the shoot for the movie by this September and to present it on theatres by this December itself.
