‘Baahubali’ in 100 crore club?

Rajamouli’s ‘Baahuballi’ has joined the 100 crore club within two days of its release which is a record for an Indian film.

So far many Indian films have collected 100 and the list includes quite many Bollywood films like ‘PK’, ‘Three Idiots’, ‘Chennai Express’, ‘Ra One’, ‘Kick’, ‘Dabaang’, ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ etc. The list also includes some south Indian films ‘Enthiran’, Viswaroopam’ and ‘Kaththi’. Now ‘Baahubali’ comes as a proud entrant that too in just two days of its theatrical release, a record which no other Indian film has achieved.

As reported earlier, ‘Baahubali’ which released in 15 languages in 4000 screens across the world had garnered Rs.60 crores collection on the first day of its release and on the second day it has collected Rs.55 crores putting the total to a whopping Rs.115 crores. Out of this the Indian theatrical share is Rs.90.

‘Baahubali’ stars Prabhas, Rana Daggupathi, Anushka, Tamannah, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, Nasser and many others. The film was made as a Tamil-Telugu bilingual.

Allu Arjun’s official Facebook page has got 5 million likes in Facebook and it is the highest for any South Indian hero. Prabhas’s official Facebook page has 1.9 million likes, Mahesh Babu’s official Facebook page has 1.77 million likes, Ram Charan’s page has 1.75 million likes, Jr.NTR’s Facebook page has 1.09 million likes.

When compared with other prominent South Indian actors, Kamal Haasan’s Facebook page has 2.5 million likes, Mohanlal’s facebook page has 2.4 million likes, Mammootty’s page has 2.2 million likes, Tamil actor Vijay’s facebook page has 1.6 million likes. We can’t mention some top actors as they have no official Facebook pages

London Bridge to release in Telugu

London-BridgeMalayalam hit “London Bridge”, will soon be released in Telugu. The Telugu version, which is currently in the dubbing phase, is slated for release in July and the makers are confident of its success.

“We are currently finishing the dubbing work of the film. We are planning for July 11 release. Since the film was predominantly shot in London, I strongly feel it will be a visual wonder for Telugu audiences. I’m confident it will be accepted well,” S. Rajababu, who acquired the Telugu dubbing rights of the film told.

Over 90 percent of “London Bridge”, featuring Prithvi Raj, Andrea Jeremiah and directed by Anil C. Menon, was shot in London.

Tamanna joins Baahubali shoot sets

prabhas-baahubaliMilky White beauty Tamanna will join the shoot sets of Baahubali from today. While the lead cast Prabhas, Anushka and Rana have completed major portions of their shoot, Tamanna is now set to join the unit.

Prabhas is said to be playing dual roles in the film as Baahubali and Sivudu and Tamanna is one of the female leads. The big-budget period drama is taking shape in the hands of director S.S. Rajamouli while Arka Media banner is producing it.

Baahubali current schedule shoot is taking place in lavishly erected sets in Annapurna Studios under the supervision of Sabu Cyril. M.M.Keeravani is providing the soundtrack and Senthil is cranking the camera.

Pawan Kalyan’s costly bike in Gopala Gopala

Power star Pawan Kalyan and Victory Venkatesh are teaming up for together for Gopala Gopala movie, Telugu version of Bollywood hit Oh My God.

Pawan Kalyan has stepped into the shoes of Akshay Kumar for the movie and the latter has been seen on a specially designed bike in the initial scenes of the movie. Now, Pawan Kalyan will also be seen riding a costlier Hyosung GV 650 Aquila Pro in his introduction scenes. Pawan Kalyan owns this bike and had bought it for Rs 6.6 Lakhs long ago.

Gopala Gopala to be directed by Dolly is being jointly produced by Sharath Marar and Suresh Babu under North Star Entertainments and Suresh productions banner. Anup Rubens will compose tunes.

Allu Arjun film titled Kavacham?

allu arjunStylish Star Allu Arjun and director Trivikram Srinivas are teaming up for a new film and the latter is currently busy with the script work.

The filmmakers are considering Kavacham as the title, as per the latest buzz in the tinsel town. Earlier there has been buzz that Rana Daggubati and Hanu Raghavapudi film has been titled Kavacham but looks like Allu Arjun has grabbed the film title.

Allu Arjun has undergone training for action sequences and the action choreography is going to be one of the highlights of the movie.

Allu Arjun will pair up with Samantha in the movie. Radha Krishna will produce this yet-to-be titled film under Haarika and Haasini Creations banner. The regular shoot will commence in July.

Nayanatara’s Night Show

This Nayanatara starrer is said to be titled as Night Show. Aari of Tamil film Nedunchalai fame will be doing an important role in the movie, which will hit the floors in the next week. Studio Green banner is producing the film.

Night Show will be a quickie to be directed by newbie Ashwin with cinematography is by Sathya. Night Show will have simultaneous Telugu, Tamil release.

Karthika role in Allari Naresh’s film

Now, here is the latest news that Karthika is roped in for Naresh’s sister role and not as his pair. Touted to be a fun-filled entertainer, Karthika will be seen falling in love with the negative lead in the movie and in addition she is expected to do lot of action adventures and stunts.

Monal Gajjar is playing the female lead alongside Allari Naresh in this yet-to-be titled movie to be produced by Ammi Raju. After a brief gap after her Dammu film, Karthika is yet again testing her luck in Tollywood.
